EveryDNS.net said it had terminated services because WikiLeaks.org had come under massive cyber attacks. WikiLeaks came under repeated massive DDoS attacks since it started publishing more than 250,000 classified American diplomatic cables last Sunday. Amazon.com dropped the website from its hosting service on Wednesday - a move urged and welcomed by U.S. officials. euronews.net reports today that U.S. Senator Joe Lieberman said: “It’s probably the single greatest act and the most terrible act of espionage against the United States in our history, because WikiLeaks used the massive power and openness of the internet to disseminate stolen classified information around the world.” But many others applaud Wikileaks, and some of the world’s most respected news organizations are working with the website to spread the information, euronews concludes.
