Serbian students win 3 medals at Informatics Olympiad

A 4-member team of Serbian high school students has won a total of three medals at the International Olympiad in Informatics in Kazan, Russia.

Dusan Zivanovic from the Svetozar Markovic Gymnasium in Nis has won a silver medal (373 points), as did Nenad Bauk from Belgrade's Mathematical Gymnasium (330 points).

Nikola Spasic from Novi Sad's Jovan Jovanovic Zmaj Gymnasium has won a bronze medal (256 points). Mathematical Gymnasium's Luka Vukelic ended the competition with 208 points.

The team was led by Boris Grubic, from the University of Cambridge, and Nikola Milosavljevic, from the University of Nis.

The team said they now expect Serbia's athletes competing in the Rio Olympics to also win a host of medals.
