Rehearsals ahead of Serbian Army and Victory Day/VIDEO

1,300 soldiers and members of the Serbian Ministry of Defense will take part in the parade, when more than 40 different types of weapons and military equipment will also be on display.

"The static part of the celebration will showcase modernized weapons and military equipment, some for the first time," the MoD said in a statement, and added:

"What's new is that soldiers serving on a voluntary basis will for the first time march under weapons, as part of the infantry march-past."
