The 22nd Nisville jazz festival will be held August 11-14 this year in Serbia's southern town of Nis.

Nisville Jazz Festival announced for August

On August 9-10, Nisville will mark 80 years since the birth of Gypsy folk singer Saban Bajramovic, festival director Ivan Blagojevic told the agency.

The headliner of this year's Nisville will be soul diva Joss Stone, who will close the festival, which will also feature guitarist Al Di Meola, the Cyrus Chestnut Trio, saxophonist Bill Evans, the jazz-funk band Shakatak, jazz saxophonist and rapper Soweto Kinch, Bilja Krstic and the Bistrik Orchestra and Yuichiro Tokuda's Ralyzzdig.

Blagojevic announced that two Chinese jazz bands - the Golden Buddha Jazz Band and the Li Gao Yang Group - will make their Serbian debuts at the festival, held in the Nis Fortress.

Over 20 countries will be represented at this year's Nisville, which is expected to attract around 150,000 visitors.
