A source said that this was "most likely an old bomb," and that it was found during regular checks of the venue ahead of the game this evening between Red Star Belgrade and Kairat Almaty.

The club did not wish to make any comment and referred reporters to the police, where B92 was told that the police were "undertaking regular activities ahead of the game and had no information about the bomb."

Later during the day, the MUP announced that "a rusted hand grenade" had been discovered and removed for a safe disposal, and that the police were working to "solve the case."
