Three injured workers transferred to Germany

The three workers who were injured in the Tigar Tyres plant in Pirot were on Friday morning transferred by plane to Germany for further medical treatment.

Three injured workers transferred to Germany

Surgeon Predrag Kovacevic said that the workers spent the night in the intensive care unit, and that they were transferred to the German city of Bochum, in agreement with the employer.

The company Tigar Tyres wanted better conditions for their workers, Radio-Television of Serbia reported.

On Thursday, six workers sustained injuries in the so-called prep room of the rolling plant, the cause of the accident being electric shock.

The three workers were admitted with severe, life-threatening burns to the plastic surgery clinic within the clinical center in Nis, surgeon Predrag Kovacevic told Tanjug on Thursday.

The other three workers have been kept for treatment in Pirot.
