UEFA gives Serbia victory over Albania - but no points

UEFA's disciplinary commission has decided to award the canceled Serbia vs. Alabania EURO 2016 qualifier to Serbia as a 3-0 victory.

UEFA gives Serbia victory over Albania - but no points

Serbian and Albanian football associations will have to pay EUR 100,000 each in fines, while the next two games Serbia's national team plays at home will be in empty stadiums.

A written explanation will be sent to the Serbian Football Associaiton (FSS) in the next five days, when the facts based on which UEFA made its decisions will be known.

Both sides will be able to lodge appeals. The FSS is likely to issue a statement today, FSS President Tomislav Karadžić has told B92.

The October 14 qualifier played in Belgrade was abandoned after a drone carrying a map of the so-called Greater Albania was flown above the pitch, causing further incidents.
