"Art in Dark Times" exhibition opens in Belgrade

The exhibition consists of 101 newspaper cartoons portraying the Yugoslav conflict from all perspectives, created by renowned cartoonists and illustrators from former Yugoslavia.

According to the organizers, cited by Tanjug, the exhibition encompasses "the pre-war period (1990-1991), the period of the wars in Croatia and Bosnia and Herzegovina (1992-1995) and the conflict in Serbia and Kosovo and its epilogue (1996-2001)."

The exhibition is a project of the Pro Victimis foundation, implemented with assistance from the King Baudouin Foundation and partners SOS Design Festival, the Student Center in Zagreb and Mikser Festival in Belgrade.

The exhibition was displayed in Sarajevo in May and in Zagreb in early June and will be open to the Belgrade audience until June 28.
