Serbian President Tomislav Nikolić on Monday signed the book of condolences at the embassy of Venezuela in Belgrade.

BELGRADE Serbian President Tomislav Nikolic on Monday signed the book of condolences at the embassy of Venezuela in Belgrade. The book was opened following the death of Venezuelan President Hugo Chavez. President signs book of condolences for Chavez "Venezuela has lost its president, Latin America has lost a son, the world has lost a fighter. The ideas of Hugo Chavez remain - a world of equals, without slavery, in which the wealth will be divided among us - and first among the poor," wrote Nikolic. The Serbian president was welcomed at the embassy by Ambassador Dia Nader de el Andari. President's advisor Oliver Antic, who attended Chavez's funeral in Caracas as Nikolic's special envoy, also signed the book of condolences. (Tanjug) Tanjug

"Venezuela has lost its president, Latin America has lost a son, the world has lost a fighter. The ideas of Hugo Chavez remain - a world of equals, without slavery, in which the wealth will be divided among us - and first among the poor," wrote Nikolić.

The Serbian president was welcomed at the embassy by Ambassador Dia Nader de el Andari.

President's advisor Oliver Antić, who attended Chavez's funeral in Caracas as Nikolić's special envoy, also signed the book of condolences.
