BELGRADE President Tomislav Nikolic has decorated several foreign officials, Serbian institutions and citizens, including B92 Fund Board of Directors Head Veran Matic. Matic was decorated for B92 Fund’s humanitarian campaign “Battle for Babies”. President Nikolic decorates B92 Fund head The president decorated Spanish Prime Minister Mariano Rajoy, Greek President Karolos Papoulias and Romanian President Traian Basescu with the Order of the Republic of Serbia on a sash for their efforts to develop and strengthen peaceful cooperation and friendly relations, it has been released in the latest issue of the Official Gazette. Order of the Serbian Flag, Second Class for development and strengthening of the peaceful cooperation was awarded to longtime Congressional Serbian Caucus Co-Chair Dan Burton. Matic was awarded the Order of Sretenje, Third Class for the Battle for Babies campaign. Marija Crnobora received the same medal for special merits in the field of theater art. The National Library of Serbia received the Order of Sretenje, Second Class for 180 years of successful work on collecting and preserving books and scripts of historical and cultural importance.
