LONDON Serbia's Novak Djokovic scored a triumph in a dramatic grand final of the season-ending event in London late on Monday. He defeated second seed Roger Federer of Switzerland 7-6 (6), 7-5. Djokovic defeats Federer in London Masters final This win - the sixth title of the season - brought Djokovic another 1,500 ATP points and cash prize of over USD 1 million. In a statement for B92 after the match, Djokovic dedicated the victory to his father Srdjan, who he said was "fighting a great battle": "His health has improved, I love him a lot. I love you dad, I'll see you, you're the best and thanks for always having faith in me. I believe you will overcome in this fight." Djokovic said he was happy with how his season ended, and said Federer was better at the start of the final match on Monday, playing more aggressively and close to the line. "I was aware of that and I tried to impose my rhythm but failed, and immediately lost nine points. It was hard to get back in the match," he stated, and added that he nevertheless managed to play well at the end of both sets: "I came out of a lost situation, saved two set points, came back and saved the match in a spectacular manner." This win - the sixth title of the season - brought Đoković another 1,500 ATP points and cash prize of over USD 1 million.
