This assistance should come in their common struggle to shed light on the crimes committed in Kosovo, and make the voice of these associations heard outside the country, the Serbian president stated on Friday.

During a meting he had with representatives of the Association of Families of Kidnapped and Murdered in Kosovo and Metohija and Director of the Serbian government's Office for Kosovo and Metohija Aleksandar Vulin, Nikolić expressed full support to the association, his office said in a release.

Nikolić and Vulin agreed that it was extremely important to Serbia, and especially to the families of the victims, to assist the associations in their fight for the truth and to have the perpetrators of the heinous crimes brought to justice.

The whole process should therefore be carried out with extreme care and maximum level of engagement on the part of the state administration, Nikolić said.

The representatives of the association informed the Serbian president about the measures taken so far, current activities and publications issued in their long struggle to discover the truth about the fate of their family members.
