BELGRADE Gay Lesbian Info Center (GLIC) sent a petition to Serbian President Tomislav Nikolic on Monday calling for a meeting with a LGBT delegation. The meeting would acquaint the country's new president with the work and problems of this community in Serbia, GLIC stated. Gay rights group wants meeting with Serbian president GLIC said that is very important for the president to be informed about the activities and priorities of the LGBT organizations in Serbia which, as they put it, are not only related to the organization of the Pride Parade, so that he could be better in performing his duties as president of all citizens. “We believe that the Serbian president needs to confer with all activists of relevant LGBT organizations in the country, rather than just organizers of the Pride Parade,” the statement reads.
