Switzerland's Roger Federer took the top spot on the ATP list from Serbia's Novak Djokovic, after the Serb's 53 week-long rule. Federer defeated Scot Andy Murray on Sunday, winning his seventh title at Wimbledon and the 17th Grand Slam of his career, equaling Pete Sampras in the number of weeks spent at the top - 286. Federer has 11,075 points and is 75 points ahead of Đoković, while Nadal has collected 8,905 points.

Serbia's Janko Tipsarević held on to the number eight spot, while Spaniard Nicolas Almagro entered the top ten by moving ahead of American John Isner.

Serbia's Viktor Troicki moved up to number 31 with 1,265 points.
