Serbs from New York have raised money for the purchase of baby incubators in Serbia. A concert dubbed “Jazz for Babies” was held and the organizers raised USD 7,000. Serbs from New York raise money for baby incubators Famous Serbian and foreign jazz musicians, such as pianist Jasnа Popovic, drummer Marko Djordjevic, Macedonian jazz musician Vladimir Cetkar performed in front of about 300 guests. The concert was organized by a group called “Incubators for Serbia” – a civil initiative of mostly young Serbs living and working in New York. The humanitarian organization was created after they had seen a report about B92 Fund’s Battle for Babies campaign and a need for new baby incubators in Serbian hospitals on B92 TV.
