Red Star FC has stated that B92 Fund’s campaign “Battle for Babies” has been a success and that money for seven new incubators has been raised. A charity football match between Red Star women’s team and cast of “Montevideo, god bless you!” movie was played on Tuesday at the Red Star stadium as a part of the campaign aimed at raising funds for the purchase of new baby incubators for health institutions in Serbia. Red Star sold 5, 212 tickets, which was enough for the purchase of one new baby incubator.

World number one tennis player Novak Đoković’s charity foundation provided money for five more incubators, while famous TV presenters Ivan Ivanović and Milan Kalinić and singer Vlado Georgiev raised money for one more incubator.

“The campaign was a success and Red Star calls on other sports clubs in Serbia to join it,” Red Star Spokesman Marko Nikolovski has said.

Red Star coach Robert Prosinečki, Vladan Lukić and Đoković helped the women’s Red Star team beat the actors 4:2.
