Justice ministry makes donation to B92 incubator campaign Justice Ministry State Secretary Slobodan Homen said that the donated money came from the sale of illegally acquired property, adding that the point of the law was not only to punish the perpetrator but also to return to citizens things that had been stolen from them. Homen pointed out that in the previous two years, since the law had been implemented, the ministry had helped soup kitchens, threatened parts of the country, but that it had also provided funds for treatment of sick citizens abroad. According to the state secretary, the total value of the seized property keeps rising and it currently totals about EUR 300mn. He also called on all other state institutions and companies to donate money for the purchase of new baby incubators because it was an opportunity to replace incubators that were more than 40 years old. B92 Fund President Veran Matic said that funds for about 40 new incubators had been raised so far and that the campaign’s aim was to buy 100 new ones. Six new baby incubators were delivered to the Institute for Neonatology in Belgrade on Wednesday. According to Matic, five incubators will be donated to a hospital in Novi Sad on Friday. He also announced that the incubators would be donated to health institutions in Nis, Kragujevac and other towns. The B92 Fund president expressed expectation that money for the purchase of all 100 incubators would be raised in the next two months and that more incubators would be bought if enough money was left in the Fund. He pointed out that about 170 incubators were necessary for the entire Serbia. Slobodan Homen and Veran Matic (B92)
