A Romanian freight train was leaking hydrochloric at the Belgrade railway station all night, but officials said the situation was not dangerous. The Serbian MUP firefighters were deployed to transfer the contents of the leaking tanks, and the operation has been completed, according to reports. Hydrochloric acid leak at Belgrade station The incident was reported early this morning, but the head of the firefighting brigade in Belgrade Milan Jovicic told B92 that there was no danger for the citizens. The toxic acid, now stored in two tank trucks, will be transported to to its original destination - the town of Kragujevac in central Serbia. The train carried a total of 50 tons of hydrochloric acid, but railway workers and firefighters reacted quickly thus minimizing the amount that leaked.
