A doctor who stopped to help a victim of a traffic accident on the Belgrade-Niš highway last night was killed himself.

A doctor who stopped to help a victim of a traffic accident on the Belgrade-Nis highway last night was killed himself. The man was attempting to help people involved in car crash near Belgrade, B92 has learned. Doctor dies trying to help crash victim The driver of a Peugeot 206 passenger car with Hungarian license plates first lost control of his vehicle and hit the highway barrier. The doctor, who drove by, stopped and pulled the driver out of the vehicle, but was then himself hit and killed instantly by an incoming Fiat. Two persons who traveled with the victim in his Honda Civic parked nearby were also hurt in the crash. The Hungarian citizen and others who suffered injuries were treated in the hospital and their condition was stable. Soon after, another traffic accident happened on the highway. Beside the one fatality, 5 others were hurt in all in both accidents, children among them. (B92)
