The Hunger Strike Against Hunger campaign ad has won a prestigious award, reports said. Advertising agency Leo Burnett won one of the most prestigious awards in the international festival Golden Drum 2010 in Portoroz, Slovenia. The campaign entitled Hunger Strike Against Hunger, created by Leo Burnett for the B92 Fund, won a grand prix in the category The Most Creative Marketing Campaign. Anti-hunger campaign ad wins award The objective of the Hunger Strike Against Hunger campaign was to motivate action and help more than 500,000 hungry people in Serbia. On October 16 2009, some 670,280 people went on voluntary hunger strike in attempt to draw attention to this enormous social problem. More than 350 companies joined the Hunger Strike Against Hunger campaign along with people from 88 countries. On the occasion of receiving the award, President of Leo Burnett’s Board of Directors Misa Lukic said: “Not only is this prestigious award recognition of the Leo Burnett Serbia’s creativity, but more importantly, it’s a recognition of all who took part, in their own way, in this humane campaign. We thank again Mr. Veran Matic and B92 for launching the Food For All project and thus giving us a chance to contribute.“ Leo Burnett Serbia is a part of the Chicago-based Leo Burnett Worldwide network, which includes more than 90 agencies in 84 countries and more than 8,000 employees. Leo Burnett entered Serbian market in 2000 and has since become one of the most successful and most creative agencies in the region.
