A delegation from the town of Ohrid in Macedonia will attend the funeral of Dejan Novaković in Belgrade.

A delegation from the town of Ohrid in Macedonia will attend the funeral of Dejan Novakovic in Belgrade. The Serbian tourist was killed late last week in the Macedonian lakeside resort. Macedonian town sends delegation to funeral Ohrid Mayor Aleksandar Petreski said that the Ohrid delegation met with Novakovic’s brother, who called for authorities to investigate every aspect of his brother’s murder. The Ohrid investigative judge remanded eight suspects into custody for a period of 30 days in relation to the murder. Seven of the suspects are Macedonian citizens and have been arrested, while the Serbian citizen from Leskovac remains a fugitive. One person has been arrested for aiding and abetting the crime by trying to erase a video recording of the fight in front of the club. According to the autopsy, Novakovic’s heart stopped beating after a hard blow to the chest with a heavy and blunt object. According to the reconstruction of the events that the police have thus far put together, the massive brawl began at the door of the club. After being hit initially at the club entrance, the victim managed to get away, but the suspects later caught up with him near the Ohrid post office, where they dropped him to the ground again and began punching and kicking him until he died at the scene of the brutal attack.
