The village of Gorazdevac, a Kosovo Serb enclave near the town of Pec, today marked seven years since the attack that left two local teenagers dead. The perpetrators are unknown to this day, while international representatives who have been conducting investigations in the province say they have no suspects. Serb enclave remembers slain teens A memorial service was held today in the Church of the Most Holy Mother of God in Gorazdevac, and candles were lit for the murdered boys Ivan Jovovic and Pantelija Dakic, who were killed by gunfire. The memorial service was held by SPC Bishop of Lipljan Teodosije, who pointed out that the fact that the perpetrators of this ghastly crime have still not been brought to justice made the deed even more evil. On August 13, 2003, around 100 children from the Serb enclave of Gorazdevac in Metohija came to the banks of the Bistrica during their summer break. They had been living in isolation, surrounded by ethnic Albanians, without freedom of movement and in constant fear of attack ever since the arrival of the international troops in Kosovo in 1999, Tanjug reports. The terrorists fired approximately 90 bullets from the direction of the ethnic Albanian village of Zahac, killing 19-year-old Jovovic on the spot, while 13-year-old Pantelija Dakic succumbed to his injuries later in the Pec hospital. Bogdan Bukumiric and Marko Bogicevic were seriously wounded, while Dragana Srbljak and Djordje Ugrenovic escaped with minor injuries. An ambulance carrying Bukumiric, who was shot seven times, was also attacked as it was traveling to the French military hospital in Kosovska Mitrovica. With the exception of Bukumiric, all the survivors of this attack still live in Gorazdevac. The village is now home to 850 Serbs, down from 2,000 before the 1999 war. The mother of Ivan Jovovic is seen at his grave (Beta)
