“Construction of Serb apartments to continue”

Kosovo Labor and Social Welfare Minister Nenad Rasic says that the construction of flats for Serbs in Kosovo will continue. During his visit to Gracanica, Rasic said that this was "the only way" for Serbs to survive in the region. “Construction of Serb apartments to continue” He added that decentralization was important for the Serb community, which was dwindling each day because people were leaving. He said that better living conditions needed to be ensured for Serbs in the province. Rasic reiterated that the construction of these flats had been initiated by his ministry. “We have 20 apartments constructed by the Labor and Social Welfare Ministry in Gracanica alone, in the final phase of building. In addition to these 20, we have started building 14 more flats in Dobrotin, and this trend of building apartments in villages where the Serb community is located will continue,” Rasic stressed. “We are working with other ministries in this domain, because, quite simply, this is one way we want to show our people that the continuation of Serbdom in Kosovo life is only possible if we are here, if the Serb community is here,” he said.
