Serbia’s Under-21s open their European Championship Finals campaign against Italy in Helsingborg tonight, with kick-off scheduled for 20:45 CET. The two sides also met in the opener of the previous finals in Holland in 2007, when Serbia triumphed 1-0. The other two teams in Group A, the hosts Sweden and Belarus, meet in Malmo at 18.15 CET. The word from the Serbian camp ahead of tonight’s game is that the “Eagles“ could play without an out-and-out striker, and adopt a fluid 4-3-3 formation. The Serbian manager is quietly confident going into the tournament, while his Italian counterpart Pierluigi Casiraghi believes that tonight’s game will decide the group winner. Tickets for the match are still available, though attendances so far have been higher than expected.
