The First Football League 2008/09 season concluded today with the 33rd round of fixtures. Partizan FC are officially the country's new champions and will take part in next year's qualifications for the UEFA Champions League. Championship ends, Partizan take title Vojvodina and Crvena Zvezda will participate in the UEFA European League. The "bottom of the table derby" today saw OFK Beograd beat Banat 2-1, and secure another season of first league football. Banat, on the other hand, were relegated with Sunday's defeat.
