Series one of Operacija Trijumf, the most expensive regional TV project to date, starts on TV B92 on Monday Sept. 29. The concept, called Operacion Triunfo, originated in Spain, but the first country to broadcast it was France. The format has since become a worldwide brand known as Star Academy. Apart from Serbia, the first series of the most popular reality show in the world will also be broadcast in the former Yugoslav republics. Nova TV will broadcast the format in Croatia, Federal TV and Republic of Srpska Radio Television in Bosnia-Herzegovina, IN TV in Montenegro, A1 in Macedonia, while the Slovenian broadcaster has not yet been confirmed. The format will bring together musical talent from all the republics of the former Yugoslavia, who will try to realize their dreams of stardom with the help of an expert team. Their acts will be judged once a week by song writer Marina Tucakovic, singer Ismeta Krvavac, and composer Toni Huljic. It will be down to the viewers, however, from all the former Yugoslav countries to decide on evictions. The Emotion Production Team, which owns licensing rights for the format, has gathered an internationally acknowledged team of foreign experts to play their part in the project. Besides stars who will give behind-the-scenes advice, some of the biggest names in pop music will be on the set of Fame Academy.
