Members of right-wing groups have today organized the second protest in Belgrade over the Karadzic arrest. The Serb Radical Party (SRS) announced on its website that the protests will take place daily, but at the same time denied that it is the organizer. New pro-Karadzic demo in capital Some 300 people were gathered at Trg Republike in downtown Belgrade this afternoon, most of them wearing t-shirts with images of Radovan Karadzic and Ratko Mladic. They burned a Socialist Party of Serbia (SPS) flag, chanting Karadzic's name, and at the same time flying SRS party flags. MUP officers who were again present at the scene told B92 reporters that the gathering today had been approved by the police. Karadzic's brother Luka, SRS officials Bozidar Delic, Vjerica Radeta, Nemanja Sarovic, Momir Markovic, the leader of an extremist group calling itself the Tsar Lazar Guard, Hadzi Andrej Milic, and Roma activist Dragoljub Ackovic were among those protesting today. Six Russian nationals carrying Russian army units flags have also been seen. Radeta told journalists that the protest has been joined by SRS MPs and Belgrade assembly members. "This is an introduction to a big rally that we will organize at the start of next week," she revealed, and went on to brand DS leader and Serbia's President Boris Tadic and the new government treasonous. Radeta added that the Democratic Party of Serbia (DSS) and New Serbia (NS) will be asked to join the rally next week. The area was once again swarming with police, including riot and Zandarmerija (Gendarmerie) officers. Police are also securing state institution and foreign embassies. The demonstrators today "threw a rubber hose" at a B92 cameraman damaging the camera, while his colleague with FoNet was hit with a beer bottle, reports said. At the same time, Srna news agency journalist was assaulted, while a colleague who tried to help her met the same fate. A crew from Bosnia's TV BN also became under attack. Reports do not indicate any injuries. Riot police officers seen during today's protest (Beta)
