The newspapers today lead with stories that speculate about the possible composition of a new Serbian government. ALO—The tabloid says that the talks to form a new government are nearly over, and that this new government will include both the Democrats and the Socialists. Consequently, "Battle over police, Sutanovac or Bajatovic", two prominent officials from both parties are mentioned in the main headline. Press: "Dacic for PM" talk ruffles feathers "Model prevents suicide", brings details of yesterday's failed suicide attempt at Belgrade's Brankov Bridge. BLIC—Monday, this daily wrote that SPS leader Ivica Dacic was offered premiership in a DS-led cabinet, but today, sources have spoken differently: "Djilas mayor, Dacic only deputy PM". "Father's cries echo in hospital," describes the scene after two children were killed when a train hit the car driven by their father, who decided to cross a railroad near Rabrovac, south of Belgrade, at an illegal spot. "Ljubljana under siege because of Bush", brings details from Slovenia as it prepares to welcome the U.S. president.
