Serb court employees, driven out of their offices in 1999, continued protesting in Kosovska Mitrovica today. The judicial workers are demanding that UNMIK allows them to return to their places of work, which they were forced to leave after UNMIK and KFOR forces arrived in Kosovo. Serb judicial workers continue protest In March, an arrest raid against the protesters inside the courthouse sparked bloody clashes in the divided northern Kosovo town. Today’s protest finished without any incidents. The court building is surrounded by a barbed-wire fence and KFOR troops. Some 200 Serbs worked in the Kosovska Mitrovica courts prior to 1999.
