The Belgrade newspapers today lead with news of a decision passed by the Hague Tribunal Thursday. ALO—The tabloid says that Delta Holding number two Milka Forcan has left the company, "Milka leaves Miskovic"; but Serbia's largest private company denied this. Press: Outrage over Haradinaj ruling Yesterday's Hague Tribunal decision to set former KLA leader Ramush Haradinaj free, after trying him on charges which included murder, rape and torture in Kosovo in 1998, found its place on the front page: "Bloodthirsty villain acquitted of charges". BLIC—"Tribunal has no reason to exist", the daily says, and brings the photograph of Haradinaj on the front page. "Julio Iglesias in Arena in June 9", the paper then goes on to announce. "Miskovic and Beko to lose 50 more hectares of land", more on the troubles facing the pair of Serbian business tycoons. BORBA—"Gas awaits new government", is about the rift in the outgoing cabinet over the Russian energy deal. "Design isn't finished", the article claims that besides inability to come up with financial guarantees, the concessionaires who undertook it to construct the Horgos-Pozega highway haven't yet completed the project's design. VECERNJE NOVOSTI—"Gas leaks too!", more from Thursday's government session. "My victories are yours", Novak Djokovic's speech to the Kosovo Serbs in Kosovska Mitrovica is quoted. GAZETA—"Murderer set free", more on the Haradinaj ruling yesterday. "DS offered me highway in exchange for selling Kostunica", Velimir Ilic confided in the paper as the election campaign continues. GLAS JAVONOSTI—"They went in, went out, EUR 5mn", is about the cost to the Serbian tax payers, incurred by the outgoing government in the 13 months of its existence. "I brought Albanians' rage on myself", Belgrade Mufti Muhamed Jusufspahic is interviewed. "Criminal set free!", is about the Haradinaj ruling. DANAS—"Ramush Haradinaj cleared of all charges", says the liberal daily on the front page. "Djelic: South Stream construction is not threatened", claims the DS official and outgoing deputy PM. "Macedonian delegation leaves gathering in protest", is about the goings-on at the NATO summit in Bucharest, after it failed to invite Skopje to join. KURIR—"Bandits", the tabloid stays on its subject, and says there are secret notes relating to the privatization of Sartid steelworks, bought by U.S. Steel, the legality of which is now investigated. "Villain set free", the paper says of the Haradinaj decision yesterday at the Hague Tribunal. POLITIKA—"Haradinaj free, justice under arrest", the broadsheet says on the front page. "Failed NATO summit", another headline claims, while the article lists disagreement inside the Western military alliance over Macedonia, Georgia, Ukraine and Afghanistan. PRESS—"Executioner is free", is about Ramush Haradinaj. "Former minister member of Agroziv Mafia", the article not only names the latest "mafia" in Serbia, but also claims an unidentified "former minister" was participating in the EUR 18mn fraud discovered recently.
