The details of Interior Minister Dragan Jocic's treatment emerged over the weekend. Jocic, DSS, was seriously injured in a car crash on the Belgrade-Nis highway last month. Doctors: Jocic fitted with vertebrae implant Now the medical team treating him at Belgrade's leading orthopedic clinic told daily Politika that he received an implant replacement for his fifth spinal vertebrae. “Jocic’s cervical part of the spine is severely damaged, along with damage to the nerve structures, but luckily without any injuries of the internal organs, and all other stories are just speculation”, Zdeslav Milinkovic, one of Jocic's doctors, was quoted in the media. The exact circumstances of the crash still remain unknown. For the time being, Jocic will not be transferred to Serbia's top medical institution, the military clinic VMA, doctors confirmed.
