The newspapers today do the best they can reporting the news, other than the presidential run-off. BLIC—"Serbia chooses its destiny today", the daily is dramatic on the front page, but just like all the other media in the country, can only offer statistics, without any statements or predictions as to the outcome of the vote. Press: Djokovic welcomed back, poll showdown "Nole, we'll see you again", is a report from yesterday's gathering in Belgrade to welcome Australian Open champion Novak Djokovic, suggesting that this will not be the last of his big successes. VECERNJE NOVOSTI—"President, second round", the front page is dedicated to the pitched battle in the polls waged between Boris Tadic (DS) and Tomislav Nikolic (SRS) today. "Reprise after Paris"- another daily reports from the Djokovic welcome party looking ahead, to new titles, and hopes one might come as soon as this year's Roland Garros. Russia's new NATO ambassador Dmitry Rogozin says in another article, "Kosovo is not lost." GLAS JAVNOSTI—"Ovations for Nole", says a headline. "Eternal derby", the newspaper employs football vocabulary to describe today's presidential showdown. "Knife and crowbar against best mate", explores school violence in the country. POLITIKA—"Boris Tadic or Tomislav Nikolic", the election front page headline states the obvious. One of Serbia's best know authors of children's literature, Ljubivoje Rsumovic, is interviewed under, "Memories of a winged childhood". "Djokovic with Belgraders", the paper chooses a somewhat toned down headline for a report from yesterday's gathering in front of the Belgrade City Hall.
