This Sunday, the papers focus on the presidential election campaigning that is entering its last seven days. BLIC—A fresh angle on the presidential campaigning is found in, "Canak ditches Ceda, Ceca ditches Velja", which is about alleged unraveling of some pre-campaign political friendships, namely those between Nenad Canak and Cedomir Jovanovic, and Velimir Ilic and folk singer Svetlana Raznatovic. Press: Hopefuls on campaign trail, NIS sale "Snowboarding in front of Belgraders" looks at an unofficial snowboarding competition held in the capital. VECERNJE NOVOSTI—"Country at turning point" Speaker Olive Dulic says in an interview for the newspaper, ahead of the presidential vote. "'Tour' goes on" reports about actor Bogdan Diklic's recovery. His eye was injured during the shooting of his latest film last week. Another front page story is about the results of the daily's competition, with the big prize apparently ending up in the hands of a reader from Smederevo. GLAS JAVNOSTI—Meanwhile, one of the hottest topic so far this year, the sale of NIS, is explored under, "Gazprom: NIS is good opportunity". "Greenland to secede from Denmark", says another headline, while the article looks into what seems to be an ever-expanding speculation of how many territories look to become "the world's newest country". The daily also publishes a special on Kosovo, "Kosmet, a day before and a day after". One of the nine presidential hopefuls, with, according to polls, highly unlikely chances of succeeding, is Marijan Risticevic. The paper runs an interview with him: "Jobs for farmers and workers", he sends out the message to his potential voters. KURIR—"The return of Gorica", the tabloid announces the return to the political scene of one of the SPS politicians that personified the Milosevic regime, Gorica Gajevic. POLITIKA—Gazprom's deputy CEO, Aleksandr Medvedev, wrote an opinion piece for the paper, under the headline, "Gazprom brings investments" – more on this in an article on our website today. "11 victims of the Macedonian helicopter crash" is about the tragedy that befell the Macedonian army, after 11 of its peacekeepers perished in the accident near Skopje yesterday. "Kostunica, Tadic, differently on agreement", focuses on the latest arch-controversy in Serbian politics, the signing of the Stabilization and Association Agreement (SAA) with the EU. PRESS—The tabloid looks at the Liberal-Democrats (LDP) and their campaign, and sums it up in a bold front page headline: "Cedo, where did you get all that money?!"
