President Boris Tadic has spoken in Nis with representatives of ex-servicemen from Toplica. The reservists, whose protests over unpaid wages dating back to the 1999 Kosovo war have been going on for some months now, waited for Tadic outside a local TV station where he was appearing as a guest. Tadic meets protesting ex-servicemen On leaving the building, the president held a half-hour meeting with the men. Strike leaders reported that he had told them that he had been informed of the details of their demands, and that he was sure the government could find a solution for their problems. The reservists said that they expected Tadic to receive them in Belgrade in the near future when they would receive a concrete answer to their demands.
