President Boris Tadic has placed a wreath at the Memorial to the Liberators of Belgrade, and signed the visitors book. According to his press office, Tadic wrote,”For Serbia that has always and will fight against fascism. Glory to fallen heroes.” 63rd anniversary of liberation of Belgrade 63 years ago today, the National Liberation Army, led by General Peka Dapcevic and the Red Army, entered Belgrade and liberated the city, following an intense seven-day battle with German forces.
