U.S. Steel joins in blood drive campaign

U.S. Steel Serbia Thursday donated EUR 20,000 for the purchase of a specialized blood-drive vehicle.

U.S. Steel joins in blood drive campaign

“Our company decided to join in the blood-drive campaign organized by B92 and the Blood Transfusion Institute since many of Smederevo-based steelworks workers are regular blood donors,” Ščekić said.

Matić reiterated that B92, as the initiator of the campaign that brought together the state and private sectors, media and citizens, is proud to contribute to the solving of this very important issue.

“B92 wanted to boost the number of blood donors, raise awareness about the necessity of securing steady blood reserves throughout the whole year,” Matić said.

U.S. Steel’s contribution brings the total up to EUR 135,000 collected so far for the purchase of the vehicle. The target is set at EUR 200,000.
