Club goers complain of police violence
Parents of three minors have filed complaints against the officers who intervened at the club. According to the reports, ten persons suffered injuries.“I raised my hands and a policeman approached me… he insulted me, hit me three times in the stomach, threw me against the wall, hit my head, and tossed my mobile phone,” one of the witnesses said.
“I think I did nothing to provoke him. I just was standing there and he attacked me,” he went on to explain.
“They turned against the kids… when they caught a minor drinking whiskey, they beat him up for doing that… they cocked their rifles in the crowd,” a municipal official told journalists.
Niš police chief Saša Mišković said that his men stopped at the disco as part of a routine round. According to him, police has launched an investigation into the incident.
