Serbia leads NBA internationals with eight players

This year's rosters of the 30 NBA teams have one more foreign player than last year's record, but it's a significant increase from the 32 internationals from 18 countries that began the 1996-97 season.

Serbia has the most players on this year's rosters, eight, followed by France with seven and Slovenia with six. Twenty-eight of the 30 teams have at least one player from outside the United States, led by the Phoenix Suns with seven.

This season, which was to open Tuesday night, will begin with its first player from Switzerland, Thabo Sefolsha on the Chicago Bulls.
