Jagodina Mayor Dragan Markovic Palma has showed reporters a wheel from a Ferrari that one of the best Formula 1 drivers Michael Schumacher drove in 2006. The wheel is a gift from owners of the Italian company Confezioni Andrea. Jagodina mayor gets Schumacher’s wheel “I have received many presents in seven years I have spent as a mayor, but this is my favorite and it will be in my cabinet instead in the museum,” Markovic told reporters. “Confezioni Andrea will start building a factory for production of car and motorcycle covers in the industrial zone in Jagodina in January, which should be finished by June and where 500 workers will work,” he explained. “The owners of the Italian firm, a brother and sister, have been my guests in Jagodina several times, I took them to the village of Koncarevo where I live and because of the good job and my hospitality, they asked me what they could do for me. I said nothing. Things that I do are my duties as a mayor, to provide conditions for investments, to open the factory and the city will benefit from that fact that 500 workers will get a job there,” the Jagodina mayor pointed out. He said that he had gotten a call from the company owners’ manager five days later and that he had given him the present – the wheel from a Ferrari that famous Schumacher drove in his last Formula 1 race in Monza in 2006.
