Serbia has first African-born MUP employee

Interior Minister Ivica Dacic handed a decision on employment to the first member of the Interior Ministry (MUP) that was not born in Serbia. Rose Aboth Mirembe Yosia Bugarcic was born in Uganda, news agencies reported. Serbia has first African-born MUP employee She has lived in Serbia for 15 years and obtained her citizenship by marriage. Bugarcic met her husband, a Serbian citizen, in the Netherlands, while she was student there. They have three children. Previously, she worked at the Agriculture Ministry, and starting from Wednesday she joined the MUP to work on projects financed by the EU funds. “I hope I will fulfill all expectations at the new office and contribute to the process of Serbian European integrations”, Rose Bugarcic said. Dacic said that MUP was open for all its citizens, regardless of their heritage or nationality.
