A total of 457 cases of swine flu (A/H1N1 virus) were registered in Serbia by Friday, December 11. 33 people died of the disease, The Batut Institute of Public Health of Serbia said in a statement today. 457 confirmed cases of swine flu The statement adds that the most common risk factors are identified with patients suffering from diabetes, cardiovascular diseases and obesity. The number of people with symptoms similar to swine flu who are hospitalized is 581, while 22 of those patients have been put on ventilators. Also today in Belgrade, the Ministry of Health announced that voluntary vaccination against the disease will begin in Serbia on December 17.
