Two injured persons were taken to the emergency room.
One 11 year-old boy fell and hurt his head and a 44 year-old man had a heart attack at the stadium.
Most of the other injuries were minor.
Partizan fans lit seats on fire during the match, which stopped play for three minutes.
Belgrade Police administration Chief Slobodan Vukoliæ said that thanks to fast interventions of members of the sector for emergency situations, the fire was quickly put out.
Vukoliæ said that before and after the derby, a total of 34 persons were arrested, 14 of which were minors.
Police searching the stands confiscated several dozen smoke bombs, about 60 torches and many firecrackers.
Several hundred police officers made sure that fans of Partizan and Red Star did not clash after the match while leaving the stadium, though Vukoliæ said that several incidents occurred, but that no one was hurt in the scuffles.
Partizan defeated Red Star at its home “Marakana” stadium in the 137th local derby played between the teams by a score of 2:1.
