Dacic reminded that MUP worked with the South Eastern and Eastern Europe Clearinghouse for the Control of Small Arms and Light Weapons (SEESAC) to in this way dispose of some 30,000 pieces of weapons thus far. The minister also announced a new campaign that will call on the citizens to hand over weapons currently illegally in their possession. "In most criminal cases, illegal weapons are used, and that is why it's important to take them off the streets," said Dacic. UNDP's William Infante was also in Zeleznik this Saturday, to say that the SEECAC has been cooperating with Serbia's MUP since 2002. Infante also noted that the disposal of the weapons today was financially supported by Norway. The scene in Zeleznik today (Tanjug)
