Six people die in three accidents

KRAGUJEVAC, SUBOTICA -- Six people died in three separate traffic accidents in Serbia on Sunday, authorities said.

A 27-year-old motorcycle driver from Velika Plana died instantly when he collided with a 42-year-old Batočina man on a bicycle, who also succumbed to his wounds later in hospital.

The accident happened near Brzan, close to Batočina.

A Subotica woman died near Palić, when the driver of a Ford Mondeo lost control of his vehicle due to speeding and crashed into a canal by the side of the road.

The woman died instantly, while four others in the car, including the driver, were seriously injured.

Three more people were reported dead in a crashe that also happened in Vojvodina on Sunday.

The victims – identified as a Danish couple of Serb origin H.C.H. (65) and N.D.J. (61), and Nedeljka V. (52), a Bosnian national – perished in a crash on the Novi Sad-Subotica road.

Two more persons sustained grave injuries.
