BELGRADE -- B92 won in almost every category of the Status magazine poll in which journalists pick the best media house, journalists, and shows.

Danica Vučenić of the B92 radio show Kažiprst was named best journalist of 2008, and B92 took first place in the categories of radio, television and website, according to the Status survey results.

In the traditional seventh annual poll, which includes journalists and media representatives from 40 different stations and papers, Blic and Vreme were chosen as the best newspaper/weekly.

New Editor-in-Chief of Politika Dragan Bujošević took second place in the best journalist category, and Danas writer and Status columnist Zoran Panović came in third.

Along with the best, Status chooses “Embarrassments to the Profession,” and this year the award was given to Dragan J. Vućićević, of tabloid Kurir, Glas Javnosti reporter Đuro Bilbija, and TV Pink host Sanja Marinković.

Kurir, Pravda and Press were voted as the worst dailies, while Grom, Pečat and Skandal were voted worst periodicals.
