13 July 2008 | 13:50 -> 16:03 | Source: Beta
NOVI SAD -- One person died while two were seriously injured when a tree branch fell on them in the EXIT festival camp.

Beta news agency reported from Novi Sad earlier on Sunday that the branch fell onto the tent while the three were inside.

The victim has been identified as Jelena Matić, from Paraćin, in eastern Serbia.

Unofficial information says that Dafina Anastasova, 22, from Skopje, Macedonia, suffered a severe head trauma, and remains in a critical condition, while her compatriot Đorđe Markoski, 23, of Prilep, has serious, but non-life threatening chest injuries.

Also today in Novi Sad, MUP said that during the third evening of the festival its officers arrested 41 persons on possession and sale of narcotics charges.

38 of those detained are foreign nationals, MUP added.
