Half of Serbians said that territorial integrity, sovereignty are the basic national interests, a survey suggests. At the same time, almost one third thinks that Euro-Atlantic integrations are the prime national interest, along with acceptance of the conditions set before Serbia in order to achieve them, a Medium-Gallup poll has shown. Pre-Kosovo declaration Gallup poll published The agency conducted the survey February 3-12, before the Kosovo Albanians' unilateral declaration of independence, on a sample of 1,020 participants, in 56 Serbian municipalities, in four regions of the country. Tanjug news agency says the survey was posted on the website of Serbia's Atlantic Council. According to results of the poll, conducted within a project on Serbia's public opinion on the security sector, initiated by the OSCE and the Atlantic Council, some 75 percent of those polled understand the notion of security most often to be represented by the army and police, the defense ministry, security services and intelligence services.
