A new fire broke out on the administrative boundary with Kosovo in the village of Tacevac at about 2 p.m. Thursday. Beta news agency has learned from the Srbijasume state forestry management company in Kursumlija that teams of firefighters are on their way to Tacevac, although it is still not clear how much land has been affected. New fires on boundary with Kosovo The fire broke out in a completely different location to the previous three blazes which were localized during the morning. Forest fires in three places along the administrative boundary with Kosovo near Kursumlija were localized with the help of fire brigades from Krusevac, Blace, Kraljevo, Nis and Prokuplje. Srbijasume suspects that, as with the previous incidents, arson is involved, pointing out that the fires broke out simultaneously in different locations. Serbia’s administrative line with Kosovo, between the municipalities of Kursumlija and Podujevo, stretches across some 105 kilometers. The big forest fire that was put out two days ago, also took place in the ground security zone in Kursumlija municipality, along the very boundary with the province. The blaze destroyed about 500 hectares of forest, six houses and a school.
