HLC seeks damages for Sjeverin victims

The families of the victims believe that the Serbian institutions, particularly the Ministries of Defense and the Interior, are responsible for the crime because they allegedly provided weapons to the Republic of Srpska military.

The Belgrade District Court has already sentenced Milan Lukić, Dragutin Dragićević, Oliver Krsmanović, and Đorđe Šević to 15 to 20 years in prison for the crimes committed in Sjeverin.

Damages for police brutality as well

HLC has also asked for reparations for police brutality in the names of Sabit Bibić from Sjenica and Fehrat Suljić of Tutin.

Bibić suffered police brutality in December 1993 and Suljić was mistreated by officers in February 1996, according to the statement.

HLC is calling on the Serbian administration to offer proper reparations to those who have been victims of human rights violations.
