COPENHAGEN --
Serbian singer/songwriter Aleksandra Kovač won the award for Best Adriatic Act at the MTV Europe Music Awards.
The awards ceremony was held in Copenhagen last night and was hosted by American pop star Justine Timberlake.
In her acceptance speech, Aleksandra Kovač stressed the fact that this is the first time that a Serbian artist has received an MTV award and thanked her family and friends and ended her speech saying, “Ovo je za Beograd, za Srbiju! (This is for Belgrade, for Serbia!)"
The voting for the award was done online by fans at MTV Adria’s official website. Kovač was up against Edo Maajka, Let 3, Neisha and Siddharta for the Best Adriatic Act award.
